I choose not to answer these questions. The analogies are tricky and the only questions that taxed me. Your last question does not put down the possible answers completely. (Yes, that’s a hint.) In some questions, only one answer is the proper part of speech–noun, verb, etc., thus the answer should be fairly obvious.

Do you believe in spirits/ghosts? what, astrologically, makes people inclined to feel, see &/or attract spirits?
What’s your signs?

When I were a baby we lived in a haunted house. I had a bad childhood.
Also my mother is interested in spiritual things and seem to attract spirits.
Wherever she/we/I move we pretty much seem to have spirits with us.
I’m starting to wonder if I’m psycho… it was pretty peaceful in my first apartment, if I can remember correctly. In my next apartment when I were going to check out the basement I felt very uncomfortable and saw a man (looked like a black shadow) who vanished some seconds later. One night it felt a bit windy suddenly for no reason and there’s no explanation for it. It was a bit cold and felt like someone was standing beside me, watching me laying in bed. Then it calmed down a bit but suddenly it felt exactly like someone were crawling up in my bed. I were laying on my back, I could feel it on my legs and it came closer and closer and then it felt like someone where sitting astride strangling me and I had trouble breathing.
Recently in my current apartment I suddenly got goose bumps and were freezing a little… some minutes later a meat knife suddenly flew away down on the floor.
I were watching TV and when I turned it off it; it some minutes later sounded like someone where knocking on the TV (nothing like the regular noises they can make) a little later it felt like someone were crawling up behind me in my bed and I had the strangest feeling against my back, can’t even describe it. It also felt as if someone poked on my shoulder once.
One night there was random noises (as usual) and I had trouble falling asleep and felt a bit uncomfortable, so I said. "Can you please stop it and let me sleep?"… it was strangely quiet after that.

Do I sound like a nutcase?

What should be looked at in a natal chart that can involve anything/everything spiritual?

It is also interesting that through dreams or some other strange ways the dead frequently communicate to them. They are inclined (especially in their youth) to spiritualistic seanses, they are interested in the occult, astrology, hypnosis, magical rites, mundane life is made up of these little ritual actions, they appear mysterious to others, they avoid talking about themselves

I’ve witnessed some paranormal activities….
I’ve seen, heard, felt, and smelled them.

Yes I believe in ghosts/spirits, demon, angels etc. My experience is below:

A few years ago it was about 4 or 5 in the morning when it was just getting light i looked out my window and saw this really tall, shadowy transparent thing hovering past the fence in the back garden. It was about 6 to 7 feet tall and was wearing what looked like a hooded black cloak but it was kind of transparent. It looked like what i can only describe as what people know as the grim reaper which sounds really stupid but thats the only thing i can describe that resembled it without the stick thing.

I wasnt scared while i was watching it and i just went back to sleep but when i think about it now it scares me. I also heard lots of scratching and noises in that house that i was living in at the time. My sister also saw and heard things like scratching and also saw a demon dog like creature as well which i didn’t see luckily.

At the minute i think there is a spirit or something in my new home at the minute as when i am alone in the house i get the feeling that someone else is there with me in the house. I also hear noises coming from the kitchen and hear footsteps. One time i thought i heard the front door open and heard footsteps and i thought it was my fiancee home from work but when i went out to see no one was there!

My fiancee also seen what i think is a spirit in the back room of our home one time as well. He said it looked like white smoke floating beside him and then it disappeared. He dosent want to believe in spirits and angels and stuff like that as hes a big sceptic but thats his choice.

Also my fiancee also seen a white face peeking around our bedroom door. This freaked me out a lot. No one else lives with us in our house so its just us and we were both in the living room at the time which is opposite to the bedroom so it wasn’t one of us trying to scare each other.

For some reason as well i keep seeing black bug looking type things out of the corner of my eye in our home but there is nothing there. Its strange and it isn’t real bugs either.

We both also see sparkles of light around us as well in our home. I believe that these are angels as i am a strong believer in them.

Gas saving options for a chevy silverado 2500?
Wat are really good ways to save gas for a lifted chevy silverado 2500

1. Best way - sell it and buy a Toyota Prius.

A big ass lifted truck is always going to get crap gas mileage, no matter what you do.
Uncle Bo | Feb 06, 2010

the three basics that you ALWAYS start out with, whether you’re looking to improve performance or increase mileage, are:

Keep your tires properly inflated
Install an aftermarket cold-air intake (or at least a high-flow air filter)
Install a free-flowing exhaust system.
Stangman | Feb 06, 2010

you can’t save gas with a big monster like that
Jess/19 | Feb 06, 2010

cold air intake, free flowing exhaust, change the drive ratio to a more modest ratio.. lower the truck.. theirs quite a bit of other things but thats where i woud start.. i was able to make my 5.3l silverado get 21mpg (between birmingham and dallas/ft worth) after a good bit of work.. new low resistance truck tires, cai, exhaust, MSD coil packs, new spark plugs properly gapped, polished heads, electric fans, electric water pump, and a custom grind cam higher rise, similar duration to stock, and smaller lsa..

Why do people trust Glenn Beck to give you the real facts on Che Guevara?
On January 22, 2010 Glenn Beck ran a short feature on Che Guevara for his anti-Communist "documentary" where he basically proclaimed Che a racist for a line in his diary passage about "blacks being indolent and lazy". However, the "black is indolent" line was taken out of context by Glenn Beck for his "documentary" … what is the truth?

That quote was written by Che when he was 24 and encountered blacks for the first time in a Venezuelan slum during his Motorcycle trip around South America. *** The full context of this statement is addressed by biographer Jon Lee Anderson on page 92 of "Che Guevara: A Revolutionary Life." However, months later he announced himself a transformed man and even denounced the racism he encountered while living in Miami for a month. The quote was from 1952, before he was Che. Years later in Cuba he showed he was not racist through his actions:

- Che pushed for racially integrating the schools in Cuba, years before they were racially integrated in the Southern United States.

- Che’s friend and personal bodyguard was Harry "Pombo" Villegas, who was Afro-Cuban (black). Pombo accompanied Che to the Congo and to Bolivia, where he survived and now lives in Cuba. Of note, Pombo speaks glowingly of Guevara to this day

- When Che spoke before the U.N. in 1964 he spoke out in favor of black musician Paul Robeson, in support of slain black leader Patrice Lumumba (who he heralded as one of his heroes), against white segregation in the Southern U.S. (which still unfortunately existed), and against the white South African apartheid regime (long before it became the Western ’cause de jour’).

- Che was also heralded by Malcolm X during this trip to NY and in contact with his associates to whom he sent a letter, and later on behalf of his actions in Africa - praised by Nelson Mandela and the Black Panther’s Stokely Carmichael.

- When Guevara ventured to the Congo, he fought with a Cuban force of 100 Afro-Cubans (blacks) including those black Congolese fighters who he fought alongside against a force comprised partly of White South African mercenaries. This resembled the fight in Cuba, where Che’s units were also made up of mostly mulattos and blacks.

- Later Guevara offered assistance to fight alongside the (black) FRELIMO in Mozambique, for their independence from the Portuguese.

- Lastly, in August 1961 (9 years after his "indolent" remark), Guevara attacked the U.S. for "discrimination against blacks, and outrages by the Ku Klux Klan", which matched his declarations in 1964 before the United Nations (12 years after his "indolent" remark), where Guevara denounced the United States policy towards their black population, stating:

"Those who kill their own children and discriminate daily against them because of the color of their skin; those who let the murderers of blacks remain free, protecting them, and furthermore punishing the black population because they demand their legitimate rights as free men

Every time I want to come completely out of the closet something pushes me back in?
There are days I regret not coming out to family and friends back in highschool,
but for the most part I like my life as it is. I’ve accepted me and that’s more important than shouting it from the rooftops. But, there are consequences either way. I’m out to mostly friends, but it’s not easy telling family as I would like, so I’ve let them draw conclusions. Yes, the drama and backlash would reverberate for years and I’m not sure I’m up for that now. I know that some of you will disagree with me on this and
I’m willing to see that, but keep in mind that every family is different and each of us are different within
this community. I don’t wear my sexuality on my sleeve for the world to gawk at, nor do I shrink away from
being myself around those who love and accept me, it’s a balancing act and I’m still walking the tightrope.

I never looked at coming out as an end to itself. I looked at it as a tool. I knew that I would, one day, start dating guys. I didn’t want to be isolated, and I knew that some of my family would accept me. I also knew that I wouldn’t give a crap about the ones that didn’t, so I made the decision to let my sexuality become public knowledge. A few family members found out, and the word spread across my huge extended family. Now, my sisters and I can talk about interesting guys together. My dad can get used to the fact that I won’t be marrying jesus style.

My decision was a decision that made sense for me. I had little to lose by coming out and so very much to gain. If this is the case for you, then you should come out. However, if your isolation is preferable to the danger and emotional fallout that you expect, then you shouldn’t come out. Only you know the particulars of your situation. You are wholly qualified to make your own decision about whether or not to do it.

Just keep in mind that the information gets out either way eventually. There will come a time when people will be surprised that you have never had a serious girlfriend. When you get close to your 30s and have nobody lined up to marry, people will start to get really suspicious. Coming out offers you a modicum of control over how the information disseminates. You may wish to maintain that control.

geewillie | Jan 21, 2010

and i hope there is always somebody like me there to throw your .a.s.s back in the closet everytime you want to come out
zellparis | Jan 21, 2010

Thanks for posting this, it needed to be said. A lot of guys come on here relating their positive experience of coming out to the family and how emotionally liberated they feel since doing so. But there are also some guys who have come out to their parents after reading this who have not had such a good experience. There are those who have been kicked out of their homes at a young age and have no place to go. So, before taking that big step about coming out, consider it long and hard because it may or may not be the best thing to do.
David_Magellan | Jan 21, 2010

You sound like me. I’ve never really officially come out of the closet but at 55 years old most people around me know. All through my life if someone asked I wouldn’t deny but I don’t walk around with a tshirt that announces "I’m Gay" to the world. One of my favorite quotes is "The rumor is true but unless I’m F**king you, it’s none of your business."
mamrax | Jan 21, 2010

I am a great believer in letting people know *when I want them to know*

I came out to my sister several years ago, and to my Ma and Pa a few weeks ago.

I am Bi/lesbian, and all my work colleagues know, it does not affect my job one way or the other.

My Partner is lesbian and is out to only 1 or 2 colleagues, as it would affect her work life.

Basically, it is up to you to gauge the situation and tell who you want, when you want. Do not let anyone tell you you *have to come out*, as long as you are comfortable with the situation as it is.

It was a great trade for New Jersey. They’ve been having trouble scoring lately and could really use him. All they lost was a late first round pick (When all the good players are already drafted), a prospect that would’ve given them a bad name, a slumping rookie and a defenseman not named Paul Martin.
Nick H | Feb 04, 2010

oh yea they will definitley improve!!!
Adrian | Feb 04, 2010

Too bad Lou didn’t throw in Peters for good measure.
The draft pick almost becomes irrelevant because we swap second round picks so worst case scenario we drop 15 spots.
Lastly if we cant sign Kovy we can probably sell his rights for about the same price that Whitney will fetch for Carolina now.
Fabz McCoy | Feb 04, 2010

Good.

Now my ears can rest here ’round Philly for all the Kovy-to-Philly zealots.

I would never have imagined him going to New Jersey because he never struck me as a Lamiorello kind of player - especially for the money he will probably command. Still, its a good trade at least if they can keep him signed, even more so if they win the Cup this year.

Meanwhile, in the darkened hall of hope in Philly…

I have to defend some of the ones you chose…

Star Trek V: The Final Frontier - Sure, coming on the heels of ‘The Voyage Home’ it was lacking… But look at some of the character interaction; Kirk, Bones, & Spock camping is priceless, Chekov’s act as the captian, Sulu’s comment of manual landing of a shuttle being his first time. Scotty’s jail brake… They all were CLASSIC Trek moments!

Star Trek: The Motion Picture - Being influenced more by ‘2001: A Space Oddysey’ and less by ‘Star Wars’ hurt the first film. It was wonderful to see the crew again, even if they seemed to be in a haze half the time. The film is worth it just to see the Enterprise again! It is a beautifully shot film but its pacing and tone is similar to the first 2 seasons of TNG.

BUT to agree with you, TNG "Shades of Gray"… come on, there is NO excuse for a clip show!!!
